Privacy Policy

Last updated October 20, 2026

Small Mighty Words is a learning game from Storyfaire LLC. This policy explains how we handle parent accounts, player profiles and learning progress on our website and apps.

Who manages the account

An adult creates and manages the family account. Players can use a nickname and one of our character avatars. Please avoid entering a child’s full name or other identifying details in a player name.

Information we collect

How we use it

We use this information to sign parents in, save and synchronize progress, show learning reports, manage content access, recover accounts, provide support and prevent abuse. We do not sell personal information or use player learning records for targeted advertising.

Children and parental choices

Small Mighty Words is designed for children to play under adult supervision. Children do not need their own email address or social account. The game does not ask players to upload photos, record their voice, provide a home address or enter a date of birth.

A parent or legal guardian can ask to review, correct, export or delete information associated with their player, or ask us to stop collecting further information, by contacting support@storyfaire.com. We may verify account ownership or parental authority before acting. Some features cannot work without saving gameplay information. Signing in with Google or choosing a parent PIN is an account-security measure and is not a substitute for any separate parental consent required by law.

Where a parent enables an available leaderboard, the shared entry uses a generated alias, character avatar and score, rather than the player’s entered name. Leaderboard participation is off by default.

Email updates

Creating a free parent account includes Small Mighty Words game news and goodies by email, as explained at signup. We use the parent’s email address for this mailing list, not player names or learning records. Marketing emails identify Small Mighty Words and include an unsubscribe link. You can also ask support to unsubscribe you. SMW updates use a separate mailing-list group and SMW sender within our email provider account. Unsubscribing does not close your account or stop essential security, verification and password-reset messages.

Service providers and disclosures

Hosting and media-delivery providers help run the service. Resend handles account emails and our SMW mailing list. Google handles Google sign-in when you choose it. Store or payment providers handle purchases where offered. These services receive information needed for their functions. Authorized team members may access account information to provide support, maintain the service or investigate abuse.

We may disclose information when legally required, to protect people or the service, or as part of a business transfer subject to applicable privacy protections. The service and its providers may process information in the United States and other countries.

Cookies and device storage

We use a session cookie to remember your sign-in. Browser storage saves player settings and progress, including answers waiting to sync. Downloaded game media may be cached on your device. Signing out keeps saved device progress; clearing website data removes local copies and can remove unsynced progress. Google’s sign-in component may use its own storage under Google’s privacy policy.

Retention, deletion and security

We retain account and learning information while needed to provide your account and respond to your requests. The account-deletion process sends a confirmation email. After confirmation, there is a 30-day cancellation period before the family account and cloud player data are removed. You can cancel from account settings during that period. For a separate player-data request or an urgent privacy concern, contact support.

Copies saved on your own devices are not automatically erased by cloud-account deletion. Providers may retain necessary transaction, security or unsubscribe records, and data may remain temporarily in backups. Records required by law or to resolve disputes may be retained for those purposes.

We use HTTPS, restricted server access and password hashing to protect account information. No system can guarantee absolute security.

Your rights and contact

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete or receive a copy of your information, restrict or object to certain processing, withdraw consent, or complain to a privacy regulator. We handle requests under applicable law and may need to verify your identity. Contact Storyfaire LLC at support@storyfaire.com with “SMW privacy” in the subject.

We will update this page when our practices change and provide additional notice where required. The date above identifies the current version.
